PETER WILLETT director
B.Sci(Arch)/B.Arch(Hons) USyd AIA
Nominated registered architect (NSW) no.5110

Peter established PWA in 1992, after gaining a broad range of architectural experience both in Australia and internationally. While with the Sydney based MSJ Group, he was involved in the development of the design of Darling Harbour. He then went on to coordinate the concept design for the redevelopment of Homebush Bay, which was used in the winning bid for the Sydney Olympics. Following this, Peter spent a period of time overseas and while working in Basel and Zurich, he was exposed to the rigors and quality of Swiss residential design. This experience proved to be one of the influences in the establishment of PWA.

Peter oversees all projects from concept design to completion. He reinforces that each project is a team effort, and encourages the whole office to be focused on achieving the best results for each of our clients through collaboration and discussion.

Peter is interested in how a house can conform to an urban typology yet also present a unique solution for each client. He sees that the delicate task of striking a balance between a project's relationship to the streetscape and its individual expression creates both a fascinating challenge at the outset and significant rewards at the end.

CINDY LIN associate, office manager
B.Arch(Hons) UNSW

Cindy has been an associate at PWA since 2001 and has a broad range of experience across all aspects of the office. She has primary responsibility for the detailed design, documentation and contract administration of projects, and has a strong ability to effectively coordinate various consultants and tasks.

Cindy’s personal interest is in the fine arts, especially painting. Her strong sense of colour, material and texture has proven invaluable in developing the firm's interior designs, particularly built in-furniture, colour schemes and interior finishes selection.

Cindy is fluent in both English & Mandarin, which gives PWA a broader ability to communicate with clients, current and future.

KATHRYN SUTHERLAND project coordinator
 B.Des(Arch)/M.Arch USyd

Kathryn started at PWA in 2006 and has experience across all aspects of the office’s work. After developing the skill of overseeing numerous projects through their design development to Council Approval, she now also has responsibility for the documentation and contract administration phases of projects. She applies a rigorous and thorough attitude to all aspects of a project, ensuring that details are not lost in the often complex process of seeing your new home through to completion.

Outside of the office, her involvement in community work and informal teaching has helped develop communication & people skills which she brings to the office.

DOMINIC WARLAND architectural technician
B.Des(Arch) USyd

Dominic joined PWA in 2009 and is experienced and involved in a wide variety of project tasks. He enjoys investigative and problem solving work (proving to have a keen eye for detail) and spatial investigation processes. He is often a key point of contact during the initial stages of a project, site analysis tasks, and the Council approval process. Dominic enjoys analysing both the built and natural environments. His outdoor expeditions have developed valuable organisational, leadership and people skills, which he is regularly able to use in the office context.
